CENTRAL KALIMANTAN REGIONAL POLICE AND INDONESIAN MILITARY READY TO OVERCOME FOREST AND LAND FIRE
Palangkarayanews.co.id-Regional Police of Central Kalimantan- Do not want the haze disaster to occur again in Central Kalimantan Province, as happened in 2015. Central Kalimantan Regional Police together with Military Resort Command 102 / Panju Panjung held a ceremony of TNI-Polri preparedness in the Control of Forest and Land Fires 2020 at the Mapolda field in Jalan Tjilik Riwut Km 1 Palangka Raya, Wednesday morning (06/06)/ 22/6/2020).
The chief of Regional Police of Central Kalimantan, Inspector General of Police Dr.Dedi Prasetyo, M.Hum., M.Sc., M.M in his mandate said this ceremony as a form of TNI-Polri preparedness in tackling Forest and Land Fire, as well as checking the facilities and infrastructure that will be used.
“Today, we are checking the facilities and infrastructure that will be used to tackle the forest and land fires. Starting from facilities and infrastructure, conducting socialization to the public, law enforcement to the tools used to extinguish the fire,” said Dedi in his message in front of a thousand Police and Military soldiers.
The chief of regional police explained, the tools used to extinguish the fire, some were manual and some used modified engines or motorbikes. “Manual fire extinguishers are used to extinguish fires on a small scale.
“A motorcycle that was modified to be a water spray machine was used to extinguish fires in areas not covered by fire engines,” he explained.
Other than that, the Central Kalimantan Regional Police are also preparing the forest and land fire Center command and Hanyaken Enemy Application.
“The Hanyaken Enemy Command and Application Center is used to receive hot spots in the area of Central Kalimantan Province, receive reports from the public regarding Forest and land fire and distribution of forest and land fire camp in the Sector Police and resort police,” he added.
After delivering their mandate, the Chief or regional police and resort commandant checked one by one the facilities and infrastructure owned by the Regional Police and the resort command in addressing Forest and Land Fire.
On this occasion, the Regional Police Chief also announced the Central Kalimantan Regional Police Head’s Declaration related to Forestry and the Signing of the MoU between the Central Kalimantan Regional Police and Telkomsel.
